GK AAA Payatas Molave Raises Funds Through Christmas Carolling
January 25, 2010

During the holiday season of 2008, generous alumni welcomed the GK AAA Payatas Molave Sagip Choir in their homes to sing Christmas carols. The funds they raised helped jumpstart the activities of their younger brothers and sisters in the Sibol Program.

A year later, the Jesuit Residence garden was the perfect venue as the choir serenaded the incoming and outgoing AAA Board of Directors at a dinner hosted by outgoing President Jose Miguel Valencia on December 22.

Also present were the students of the Magis class of the Sibol School accompanied by Rose Vinluan, Regie Elefan and Nathaniel Banatao, Child and Youth Development (CYD) Coordinators from the community. Emmanuel Hugh Velasco, AAA Social Involvement Chairperson and Maida Ventura, Batch 1998 Representative and Sibol Program Manager, took the opportunity to thank the AAA for its support of the community's initiatives highlighting the key accomplishments for the year and the need for continued involvement of the AAA.

At the Bellarmine Field after the AAA-sponsored Simbanggabi, the CYD Choir performed a series of songs that tells about their ongoing journey as a GK community and their wishes for Christmas. Edmundo Billones, one of the community's caretakers, put together these songs and prepared the choir for the presentation.

We invite you to be a Big Brother/Sister to the GK AAA Molave Child and Youth Development Program by sharing your time, talent and/or resources (in cash or in kind). To find out how you can make a difference, send a note to GKMolaveSibol-Friends@yahoogroups.com or add GK Molave in your Facebook.
